EIL 45 Firmware in wrong section

Someone on HowardForums pointed out that the “Extreme is Life” firmware is actually for the E398 and NOT the E1 ROKR. Sorry, I hope no one bricked their phones with this, the thread where I found it showed it for the E398.

And if you’re planning on making an MP, please for the love of god name it something sensible and make it ABUNDANTLY CLEAR exactly which phone it is for, and the SW/BL versions that it uses.

The other downloads will be back very soon, I’ve been busy and my ISP has capped my speed so uploading stuff is very slow.

Bricked my phone going to 44r!

I flashed 44r over my current 43r firmware and my phone would not turn on at all. Shorting pin 4/5 and inserting the battery got me back into BL mode and I restored my backup. Crisis averted.

So take that as a warning, it seems quite a few people are having problems with 44r

Downloads should work 100% now, I had problems with the security settings which I have now changed.

I’ve seen this posted quite a few times recently, and while there’s no one perfect answer there are two specifically. Pinter’s MP or Bodyguard’s MP (get them from downloads section).

I’m sure there will be many new MP’s out soon, but for now use either of these. Both will work 100% with iTunes assuming you fix (look at the guide I did)

I would not recommend using the original 42r-for-all file as you’ll have to flex a file over the top to get english menus, and it’s missing a lot of stuff

I’ll be expanding on the e398-to-ROKR guide soon, adding some stuff about disaster recovery and a FAQ.

I’ll try to integrate the downloads section into the main page soon but for now it will have to stay in an iframe.

Hello everyone. I’m still messing with the site… don’t worry it will be back! paFileDB was not working as I had hoped. I intend to have main page powered by Wordpress to host news (files added etc.) and then something simple for the downloads page.

Once I get Wordpress working as I want it, I’ll fix up the downloads section
